Do you have an event but don't have a location? Would you like a wedding to remember? The Sheridan Opera House is the perfect place to hold meetings, conferences, private parties, concerts, weddings and movie screenings.

 

The Sheridan Opera House is the perfect place to hold conferences, private parties, concerts, wedding receptions and movie screenings.  Our 104-year-old building is a unique and intimate location for your event in beautiful Telluride. Our historic theater is equipped with a full bar, stage, movie screen and optional dance floor. The Opera House SHOW Bar:

 

Our first floor includes a box office lobby and a 1,200 square-foot/140 person capacity (64 capacity for seated dinners) bar! The space is perfect for cocktail parties, seated dinners, presentations, dance classes and more. The room is 32 by 39 feet.
 

Rental Rate for SHOW Bar only: $1,000 bar guarantee (with liqor service), $500 (without liquor service)

 

Theater:

 

The second and third floors of the Sheridan Opera House hold the 238 seat historic theater (capacity is 265 with seats out). Our venue includes a balcony with 74 seats (not removable) and 80 capacity for main floor seated dinners with round tables, a movie screen and a professional sound/lighting system.

Rental Rates: $3,000, Movie Screening: $900 (Rates do not include additional building manager fee)

 

The Sheridan Arts Foundation offers a number of services and amenities to help you put on a successful event:

    • Sound & Light Technicians: technical services are available for $35/hour, and an SOH Sound Technician is required for use of any SOH equipment.
  • The SOH staff can plan weddings and events at an additional hourly rate

Catering: 
 
While there is not a kitchen on the premises of the Sheridan Opera House, outside catering is permitted. Catering space is limited so some caterers use the green room or coat closet to set up and serve. Our staff can provide a list of recommended caterers who are familar with service in the Sheridan Opera House. 
 
Other Important Information: 
  • Rental delivery, pick up and storage must be coordinated prior to event
  • Candles must have glass coverings 
  • Renters must remove all personal items by close of event 
  • Renters must restore building back to original condition at time of rental 
  • We can help you book your entertainment if interested in national bands 
  • Rental fee/security deposit payable 30 days prior to event date 
  • A booking deposit of $500 is required to hold and confirm the date 
  • We accept cash, check and all major credit cards
