ENROLLMENT FOR THE 2017-2018 SCHOOL YEAR IS NOW OPEN!

Our new system collects a 25% tuition deposit to reserve your spot in class. When signing your child up through the link below, you will electronically sign our parental agreement. Payment in full is due by the first day of the class. You may pay via Credit Card online. If you would like to pay with cash or check, please call 970.728.6363 ext. 2 to sign your child up. 

We will no longer enrollment on a lottery basis, and all classes are first-come, first-serve. 

TO APPLY FOR FINANCIAL AID:

Financial Aid applications are now processed electronically when you apply for your child through the link below. You are required to provide the first 2 pages of your 2016 Tax Return and our SAFYPT Personal Financial Statement. 

IF PARENTS HAVE FILED TAXES SEPARATELY, EACH PARENT MUST SUBMIT HIS/HER INDIVIDUAL TAX RETURN AS PART OF THE APPLICATION.

All financial aid application documents must be submitted by Aug. 29 for our committee to review and reward financial aid to our students. Please click here to log into our system upload your financial aid forms and check on the status of your account. 

 

 

ADVENTURES IN ACTING

Grades Kindergarten, Grades 1 & 2

Tuition: $265
Wednesdays: 3:10-5:00 p.m.
September 13, 20, 27, October 4, 11, 18, 25
Performance: October 25, 5 p.m.
Use your imagination and bring an exciting story to life!  This introductory class is perfect for young thespians that enjoy games, costumes, and storytelling.  Each class culminates in an energetic performance on the Opera House stage.We pick up students at the Telluride Elementary School at 3:10 and serve a healthy snack before class. Enrollment for this class is limited to 24 students (12 kindergarteners & 12 kids in Grades 1-2)

 

 

PARENTS AND KIDS ONSTAGE: PERIL ON THE SAN MIGUEL (A MELODRAMA)

Grades 3-5 (and one parent per child)

Director: Leah Nikula

Tuition: $315 per parent/child pair (No scholarships available, as this is a fundraiser)
Parent Meeting- Tuesday, September 5, from 5-5:30 p.m.
Rehearsals Tuesdays, September 5, 12, & 19 2:05-5 p.m. (Kids only), and Sunday, September 24, 1-7p.m. (Parents join kids at this rehearsal)
This is the Fourth Annual PARENTS AND KIDS ONSTAGE, which is always a blast!  Step back into the Wild West, where heroes, heroines, villains and a mysterious bank robber bring Peril to the banks of the San Miguel! Here’s how it works: For the first three rehearsals, the kids will rehearse together and learn their LEADING roles.  Then, on the final day, at 1 p.m., the parents will join us to rehearse their SMALL parts. Performance is Sunday, Sept. 24 at 7 p.m. There will be pizza provided Sunday evening!

 

 

MUSICAL THEATER WORKSHOP: SEUSSICAL THE MUSICAL, JR.

Grades 6-8

Director: Leah Nikula

Tuition: $615
Rehearsals begin Monday, September 25 (Note: They will not have to rehearse every day.  Schedule varies and we are very flexible- YPT loves our well-rounded kiddos!)
Mondays 3:30-5, Tuesdays, 2:05-5 p.m., Thursdays 3:30-5 p.m.
Performances December 1, 2, 3 @ 6pm
An adaption of several Dr. Seuss books, this musical follows the adventures of Horton The Elephant, The Cat In The Hat, Mayzie La Bird, and many other beloved Dr. Seuss characters! This is a full musical theater production that combines stage work, character development, choreography and music.  Enrollment ends on August 29 at midnight.   A 25 percent deposit is required upon registration to hold your spot in this class. 

 

 

MUSICAL THEATER WORKSHOP: MARY POPPINS

Grades 9-12

Director: Leah Nikula

Tuition: $615
Rehearsals: Sporadically in November & December, heavy in January
Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays 3:30- 5:30/6
(Note: We are very flexible in working around other extra-curricular activities.  YPT loves our well-rounded students!)
Performances February 2, 3, 5 at 6 p.m.
Adapted from the beloved children’s books with the well-known music from the movie, “Mary Poppins” follows the iconic nanny, Mary Poppins, as she brings love, laughter, and adventure to the Banks house. This is a full musical theater production that combines stage work, character development, choreography and music. A 25 percent deposit is required upon registration to hold your spot in this class. 

 

 

MUSICAL THEATER WORKSHOP: JAMES AND THE GIANT PEACH

Grades 3-5

Director: Leah Nikula

Tuition: $415
Rehearsals begin Monday, February 12
Mondays, Thursdays 3:30- 5 p.m.
No rehearsal over Spring Break
Performances May 4-6, 6 p.m.

 

Adapted from the adored Roald Dahl book, “James And The Giant Peach” follows James and his magical insect friends as they journey across the ocean in a giant peach! This is a condensed musical theater production that combines stage work, character development, choreography and music.  A 25 percent deposit is required upon registration to hold your spot in this class.
