Joe Pug (above) opened the 2011 Holiday Concert Series at the Sheridan Opera House. His solo performance was full of hysterical stories and heartfelt songs. Joe is a true performer with a strong connection and emotion behind each melody. Following Joe's performance on Tuesday was a fabulous Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young tribute band - Marrakesh Express. All members of the nearly sold out crowd were blown away by how spot-on the songs were. If your eyes were closed you would have believed you were actually at a CSNY show! Following Marrakesh Express the SOH hosted Justin Townes Earle on Thursday night. His guitar skills were so strong that some people even thought there was a pre-recorded background track playing! Talk about skills! There were more shows and more amazing moments to follow in the coming nights. If you missed out on the series this year then be sure to save the date for December 27 - 31, 2012. Music at the Sheridan Opera House is one of the most memorable Telluride experiences.
