Telluride Plein Air 2011

Check out pictures from the SAF's recent 8th Telluride Plein Air event (June 28th - July 4th).  30 artists gathered in Telluride to paint on location for 5 days, culminating in a two day exhibition and sale.  40% of all sales proceeds go to the Sheridan Arts Foundation, making this the organization's biggest fundraiser of the year.  The artists lucked out with beautiful weather all week long and were able to produce over 100 fabulous paintings.  The sale was also a success, with figures slightly up from the event last summer.  For more information on the Telluride P

Telluride Comedy Festival 2011

The Sheridan Arts Foundation and Telluride Comedy Festival co-producer Jeb Berrier are excited to confirm the success of this past February's event!  In its twelfth season, the annual President's Weekend event was a hoot and a holler with plenty of knee slaps and audience participation.  The Telluride Comedy Festival brings 8 - 12 comedians to Telluride each year for a weekend of laughs, local humor, obscure imporv, sketch and stand-up skits.  If you have never been to this event be sure to mark your 2012 calendar for February 16 -19 for a night or two of foot stomping fun at

Smokey Robinson & Friends at the Apollo Theater

The Sheridan Arts Foundation hosted a benefit concert in NYC this past February 15th at Harlem's historic Apollo Theater.  Chuck Jackson, Ashford & Simpson and Motown legend Smokey Robinson graced the stage for an evening of phenomenal hits, melodies, moves and grooves!  The evening culmiated in a VIP reception where patrons had the opportunity to meet the performers.  Thank you to everyone who attended and helped support our foundation as well as the Buoniconti Fund to Cure Paralysis.  We couldn't have done it without you!

First Annual Car Rally Photo Album

The First Annual Car Rally to Gateway was lots of fun for everyone!  The whole group was excited for the skies to clear up and offer lots of sunshine and warmth as they cruised through the red canyons of Gateway and participted in silly, fun and captivating trivia.  The evening ended with lots of laughter, birthday celebrations, a huge car-shaped cake and even a proposal!  Thanks to all of those who participated, we look forward to seeing you again next year!

Wild West Fest 2010

The 19th Annual Wild West Fest celebrated a fantastic week of fun, learning, outdoor activities, and new friendships for the 35 youth who participated.  Kids from Boys and Girls clubs from across the country (Atlanta, Denver, Ft. Worth, Colorado Springs & Farmington) joined the Sheridan Arts Foundation in Telluride, CO to break out of their city-life routines and explore the beautiful mountains with us.  Check out someof the fun activities we did together!

Aspen Plein Air 2010

The Sheridan Arts Foundation, in conjunction with the Wheeler Opera House of Aspen, hosted the first annual Aspen Plein Air event from July 6th - 10th.  Maintaining pace from the Telluride Plein Air which eneded on July 4th, thirteen of the same artists ventured up to Aspen to participate in a similar event in an equally as beautiful mountain town.  Hosting just a one day sale on July 10th (versus the traditional two day sale in Telluride), the SAF sold over 50 paintings and walked away enthusiastic and excited to produce the event again in 2011.
