The Sheridan Arts Foundation presents Trombone Shorty and Orleans Avenue live in concert at the historic Sheridan Opera House during its annual 2014 Holiday Concert Series. New Orleans native Trombone Shorty began his career as a bandleader at the young age of six, toured internationally at age 12, and spent his teens playing with various brass bands throughout New Orleans and touring worldwide with Lenny Kravitz. He is currently the front man for his own ensemble Orleans Avenue, a funk/rock/jazz/hip-hop band. Jeff Austin formerly of Yonder Mountain String Band, plays the Sheridan Opera House with Danny Barnes, Eric Thorin and Ross Martin for a two-night run in January 2015. Mandolinist Jeff Austin is unstoppable known as the high-energy charismatic front band of one of Telluride's favorite bluegrass jambands YMSB. He is celebrated for his fleet fingers and penchant for improvisation on stage, but those qualities also speak volumes about how he chooses to live. Austin has cultivated his natural musical abilities and allowed himself to be driven by his boldest instincts. In this way, he has been able to build positive, exciting momentum around his life’s greatest passion.

The Sheridan Arts Foundation presents an intimate night of music with Loudon Wainwright III at the Sheridan Opera House on Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2014. Wainwright has had a long and illustrious career highlighted by 22 album releases, a 2010 for Grammy for Best Traditional Folk Album for "High Wide & Handsome: The Charlie Poole Project" as well as two previous Grammy nomination. Perhaps best known for the novelty song "Dead Skunk (in the Middle of the Road)" and for playing Cpt. Calvin Spalding (the singing surgeon) on the American TV show M*A*S*H.

SAF Young People's Theater presents its first ever parent/kid play with "The World's Most Mysterious Mystery," a 1940s film noir-esque thriller penned and directed by YPT Artistic Director Julia. The play features a seasoned gumshoe and his rookie partner hot on the trail of a mysterious criminal, the crook who poisoned a glamorous billionairess and a slew of suspects portrayed by 10 YPT thespians grades 3-5 and their parents! It's a nail-biting mystery that will have audience members on the edge of their seats (and rolling in the aisles). Tickets are $10 adults, $5 kids. Pre-show cocktail party is $25 per adult, which includes wine, cheese, babysitting during the party, and your ticket to the play.
