Jeb Berrier and the Sheridan Arts Foundation are proud to announce the 13th Annual Telluride Comedy Festival at the historic Sheridan Opera House. This annual President's Weekend event is gearing up for another series of fun, laughter and awe as comedians from near and far travel to Telluride to once again hit the stage together. Check out the tentative schedule below. Please note the comedians participating at the 2012 event: Rob Corddry, Seth Morris, Jason Mantzoukas, Jon Daly, Scot Armstrong, Owen Burke, Nick Thune and a few to be determined. Get pumped! Thursday: Variety Night ($25 GA)
Jokes pertaining to Telluride, some improv, some stand up and some sketch. Comedians get into town on Thursday so they throw together whatever they want! (Featuring Morris, Mantzoukas, Burke, Berrier and Armstrong.)
Friday Comedy Night ($30/$35 Reserved)
Get ready for hoots and hollers galore as the familiar face of Rob Corddry hits the stage in Telluride. Mr. Corddry, the creator, writer and director of the hysterical series “Children’s Hospital”, and recent star in the new hit comedy, Butter, will perform a brief stand-up set. Following Rob, a whole gang of comedians will present some pre-planned skits as well as ‘Pass the Mic’, an annual event where comedians tell funny stories, building on one another and creating a hysterical story right on the spot. Saturday Comedy Night ($30/$35 Reserved)
Get ready for Nick Thune to take the stage! New to the Telluride Comedy Festival this year, Nick Thune has appeared in a number of mainstream comedy hits including Knocked Up, Extract, Unaccompanied Minors, Spring Breakdown an more. He has appeared at the Laugh Factory and on David Letterman, with guest appearances on shows such as Happy Endings. After Nick’s set a few special friends from the above listed comedian pool will join him on stage for a round of improv and potentially a few sketch routines. Opening for Nick will be second year veteran Jon Daly with a short stand up set. (Featuring ALL above listed comedians.)
Sunday Comedy Night ($30/$35 Reserved)
Sunday Night is the finale featuring an exhilarating and knee slapping set of improv. These performers all got their starts as improvisers and Telluride is the place they come to re-unite and re-visit their comedy roots. It is truly amazing what they can create with one tiny suggestion and lots of imagination. The evening will also feature a small set of sketch comedy acts. (Featuring Berrier, Mantzoukas, Morris, Daly, Armstrong and Burke.)
